A useful spreadsheet makes a purchase easier to compare
A useful Fishgoo spreadsheet connects a recognisable product to its specific offer, price reference and available evidence. For a shopper choosing one black T-shirt, the goal is not to save the greatest number of links. It is to identify the candidate that suits the intended design and determine which missing detail could change that choice.
This article works through actual records in our 10 October catalogue, rather than an invented best-buy ranking. A large graphic tee and a smaller-logo tee have similar starting prices, but different visual roles. Their comparison shows why design preference and recorded product information should sit next to each other.
The catalogue is a discovery resource. Prices and photo counts below are dated records; exact options and current amounts belong to the product page.
What our saved catalogue actually contains
The 10 October 2026 snapshot used by this site contains 3,383 records after exclusions, arranged into 13 categories. There are 495 shoe references, 199 hoodie references and 100 T-shirt references. These are counts in a selected sample. They are not Fishgoo sales figures, a complete marketplace inventory or proof that one category is more popular than another.
| Category | Saved records | What the grouping helps compare |
|---|---|---|
| Shoes | 495 | Different footwear silhouettes and starting prices. |
| Hoodies | 199 | Sweatshirts and knitwear within a layering category. |
| T-shirts | 100 | Everyday tops and different graphic treatments. |
| Bags | 63 | Shapes and reference dimensions worth investigating. |
Category balance depends on how the sample was collected. A category with fewer rows may simply have fewer records in this snapshot. Treat the Fishgoo product categories as browsing doors rather than a popularity chart. The relevant category is the one connected to the purchase you are considering.
Two real black T-shirts, two different reasons to keep them

| Recorded item | CNY / estimated USD | Reported QC count | Design question |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stussy black graphic tee | ¥115.20 / $16.00 | 0 | Is a prominent graphic the reason you want this tee? |
| Balenciaga small-logo black tee | ¥119.00 / $16.53 | 2 | Do you want a quieter front treatment? |
The item-reference difference is ¥3.80, or $0.53 in the API estimates. That narrow gap makes the design choice more useful than sorting these two records by price alone. A buyer seeking a strong graphic can retain the first; a buyer seeking a more restrained front can retain the second for further checking.
The small-logo record reports two QC references. This identifies a place to investigate its photos; it does not establish a better fit or a superior garment. The zero in the other record means references were not reported in this snapshot, rather than proving that the item has never been photographed.
Neither saved record provides chest width or body length. If the target is a tee with a particular fit, the comparison stops at an unresolved dimension rather than choosing by a familiar size label. This is a concrete reason to keep the candidate open while obtaining its actual measurements.
The strongest note links each question to the field that can answer it
| Question | Information available | Information still needed |
|---|---|---|
| Which front design appeals? | Catalogue photographs and product names. | Confirmation that the chosen option matches that image. |
| Which starting item reference is lower? | ¥115.20 versus ¥119.00 in the snapshot. | The current amount for the exact option. |
| Which record reports QC photos? | 0 versus 2. | What those references show and which option they depict. |
| Which tee meets the desired fit? | No dimensions in the saved fields. | Chest width and body length with measurement method. |
This separates answered questions from unanswered ones. The buyer can make a design preference now and postpone the fit decision until measurements exist. That is more useful than assigning a confident recommendation to the record with the longer description.
Only 71 records across our saved sample report positive QC counts. The QC-reference collection exposes that signal for research. It should be used to locate evidence, not as a league table of quality.
A shortlist should become clearer as it gets smaller
Consider a buyer choosing an everyday top. Ten saved candidates might become three once colour, shape and the amount they want to spend are considered. The remaining comparison should be more precise: why keep each one, and what unresolved detail could change the decision? If every entry still has the same vague note, the shorter list has not yet done its job.
That is the strongest reason to use a Fishgoo spreadsheet: it can turn a broad catalogue into a set of understandable alternatives. Start with T-shirt finds, hoodie finds or the relevant category, then use the buying guide when you are ready for the account and order steps. The research and the transaction each deserve their own information.
