Fishgoo Restricted Items — Batteries, Liquids & Eligibility
Confirm whether the service accepts the exact product, whether an eligible route accepts its contents and whether the destination permits it. Batteries, liquids and mixed parcels need specific checks before purchase.
How to check batteries, perfume and branded clothing in the calculator
Use the Fishgoo shipping calculator with the real product category. For clothing, the selector distinguishes common goods from international brands. Choosing common goods for branded clothing can show a cheaper line that excludes the actual item.
- Clothing: match the common-goods or international-brand category to the item, then read the line exclusions.
- Battery products: identify whether the battery is installed, separate or a power bank; a battery route name alone does not approve every configuration.
- Perfume or cosmetics: identify the contents, liquid volume and spray / aerosol packaging before selecting a relevant category.
- Mixed parcels: include every relevant category and confirm the complete contents against the selected route.
For example, the UK general-goods line in our 2 kg UK quote comparison excludes branded goods, sensitive goods and batteries. It is not an option for a parcel containing those goods just because its displayed freight is lower. Separately confirm that the product can be purchased and imported: transport acceptance does not establish those permissions.
A product listing is not a shipping approval
An item appearing in a marketplace or spreadsheet does not establish that Fishgoo can buy it, store it and send it to your destination. There are separate checks: whether the purchasing service accepts the item, whether the route accepts its contents, and whether the destination permits the import. A positive answer at one stage does not replace the others.
Make these checks before paying, especially when a product contains a battery, liquid, powder, aerosol or other material that affects transport. The product name may omit that detail. Read the specifications and ask the seller when necessary. A parcel that reaches the warehouse but has no suitable route can create extra return or storage costs.
Identify the characteristic that changes route eligibility
| Product type | Information to gather | Question for the service |
|---|---|---|
| Battery-powered electronics | Battery type, whether installed, quantity and relevant specifications. | Is this exact battery configuration accepted on a route to my postcode? |
| Perfume and cosmetics | Liquid volume, ingredients where relevant, spray or aerosol packaging. | Is this product accepted, and are quantity or packaging limits applied? |
| Powders, food and supplements | Contents, expiry and any product documents. | Can the service purchase and send it to this destination? |
| Sharp or tool-like objects | Actual function, dimensions and protective packaging. | Is it allowed under the product and carrier rules? |
| Branded or luxury goods | Seller identity and evidence of authorised supply where required. | Is the seller and product acceptable for proxy purchasing? |
This table identifies questions to ask; it is not a list of products approved for shipment. A route name containing special goods or a broad category label does not confirm every item inside that category. Save the answer for the specific listing you intend to order.
Distinguish a prohibited item from a route-limited item
Some goods cannot be handled by the service, while others may be accepted only under particular conditions or routes. The restrictions and logistics pages describe excluded dangerous goods and other prohibited categories, alongside warehouse screening and destination checks. Do not assume support can make a prohibited product eligible simply by changing its parcel description.
If an item is marked restricted after warehouse receipt, pause the shipping plan and ask what the flag means. Provide the actual specifications. The next step may be clarification, an eligible route, a return or another approved resolution. Do not conceal a battery, mislabel a liquid as clothing or omit part of the parcel to bypass the restriction.
Check purchasing eligibility for branded products
Fishgoo’s restriction information allows the service to refuse certain purchases and describes seller authorisation checks for international brand and luxury goods. A brand name in this directory identifies a product reference; it does not prove seller authorisation, authenticity or purchasing eligibility.
Before ordering a product where those issues matter, examine the seller information and ask what documentation is required. Keep the listing and response. Ordinary warehouse photographs can help show visible details but do not establish that the seller has permission to sell the item. The inspection guide explains the limits of QC.
Check the entire parcel when consolidating
One restricted item can change the options for a mixed parcel. Make a contents list that includes the product type and any special material, rather than only a list of brand names. Ask whether the route accepts the complete set before spending money on optional packing for that route.
If compatible clothing can ship now but an electronic item needs further review, compare a separate approved shipment with waiting. Each parcel still needs its own accurate description, values and eligible route. Do not split a prohibited purchase into smaller shipments as a workaround. Use the consolidation guide to track the storage deadline while resolving the issue.
Send a specific eligibility question before purchase
A useful enquiry contains the product URL, intended destination country and postcode, quantity, actual product category and special-content specifications. Ask whether the exact item can be purchased and shipped, which route is available, and whether documents or packing requirements apply. If support needs a clearer description from the seller, gather that before ordering.
- Save the listing and relevant specifications.
- Confirm purchase eligibility separately from shipping eligibility.
- Check current route limits for the exact destination.
- Ask what happens if warehouse screening changes the assessment.
- Keep the response with the order record and review it again before dispatch.
Review the current item restrictions and logistics conditions for the item you intend to send. For ordinary parcel budgeting, continue with Fishgoo shipping costs; for the destination checklist, use the USA or UK guide.
Common questions
Can Fishgoo ship perfume or batteries?
Do not assume a general approval. Check the exact product, quantity, battery or liquid specifications, available route and destination restrictions before buying.
Does a spreadsheet listing mean the item is allowed?
No. The listing is a discovery reference, not purchasing or shipping approval.
What if the warehouse marks my item restricted?
Pause dispatch and ask support what the flag means and which approved resolution is available. Do not misdescribe the contents.
Can QC prove a branded item is authorised or authentic?
No. Basic warehouse inspection and photographs do not establish seller authorisation or authenticity.
