Fishgoo Shipping Calculator — Costs & Volumetric Weight

Enter the destination, contents, packed weight and dimensions to compare eligible routes. Worked calculations explain chargeable weight and the complete budget; USA and UK quote comparisons have their own guides.

How much does Fishgoo shipping cost?

There is no universal Fishgoo price per kilogram. The destination, category, packed dimensions, charging increments and route determine the quote. For a concrete starting point, see our dated 2 kg USA shipping examples and 2 kg UK shipping examples. Use those comparisons to choose what to investigate, then recalculate your own parcel.

Delivered budget = item payments + domestic shipping + payment / conversion costs + selected services + international freight + any destination charges not included. Keep all amounts in one currency and count each fee once.

Build the budget from the full order, not the item price

Your delivered budget has several parts: selected product prices, domestic transport to the warehouse, payment or conversion costs where applicable, optional services, international freight and any destination charges. Keep them as separate lines so a change in the parcel does not get mistaken for a change in the product price.

Use live order amounts for items you have selected. This spreadsheet’s approximate USD prices are saved starting references and exclude delivery. Before purchase, a shipping estimate helps you judge the budget; after the warehouse prepares the parcel, the applicable packed quote is the figure to review.

The Netherlands mixed haul: €67 shipping and clothing feedback records €67 including insurance. That example shows why an insurance component should not be added to the total a second time.

How to use the Fishgoo shipping calculator

  1. Open the shipping calculator and choose Country/Area, such as United States or United Kingdom.
  2. Choose Product Category using the actual contents. Distinguish ordinary clothing from international brands and include special contents where applicable.
  3. Enter packed Commodity weight in grams: 2 kg means 2,000 g, not 2.
  4. Enter the outer carton Length, Width and Height in centimetres, then select Estimate.
  5. Compare eligible results, including invoiced weight, operation fees, estimated working days and minimum / maximum size and weight. Exclude any result showing a weight-limit warning.
  6. Before paying, confirm the full address, postcode coverage, contents and packing in the account’s final parcel quote.

The public country-level calculator is an estimate. It does not replace the address-specific dispatch check. Keep the same inputs when comparing lines; if one quote keeps shoe boxes and another removes them, record that difference. Before warehouse receipt, estimated weight can exclude packing, so replace it with confirmed measurements later.

Worked example: first weight, continued weight and parcel budget

The US Apparel Special Line example checked on 12 October 2026 displayed $2.56 for the first 100 g, $2.48 for each continued 100 g and a $5.60 operation fee. For its 2,000 g invoiced weight, the calculation was $2.56 + (19 × $2.48) + $5.60 = $55.28. These are the calculator’s USD-display figures, not a reusable tariff for every shipment.

Dividing $55.28 by 2 gives an average of $27.64 per kg for that parcel. It does not mean a 1 kg parcel costs $27.64: first-weight charges, operation fees and rounding do not necessarily halve.

Only the freight is an observed quote here; the other amounts demonstrate how to build a budget. Replace every line with your actual amount before ordering.

How to calculate Fishgoo volumetric weight

Actual weight is the mass of the packed parcel. Volumetric weight reflects the space it occupies. Where a line applies a centimetre-based divisor, volumetric kg = length × width × height ÷ route divisor. A line using the higher of actual and volumetric weight then rounds that basis according to its tariff. Actual-weight-only lines have different rules; read the line’s terms rather than applying this formula to every result.

Illustrative packing comparison with a divisor of 6,000
Packed cartonScale weightVolumetric weightHigher basis before rounding
30 × 20 × 15 cm2 kg9,000 ÷ 6,000 = 1.5 kg2 kg
40 × 30 × 25 cm2 kg30,000 ÷ 6,000 = 5 kg5 kg
30 × 25 × 20 cm2 kg15,000 ÷ 6,000 = 2.5 kg2.5 kg

These examples hold scale weight constant to show the effect of volume; they are not guaranteed results of removing a shoe box. On a 500 g charging increment, a 2.1 kg basis could round to 2.5 kg if the line rounds upward. Verify both the divisor and increment. Keeping needed protection can matter more than reducing dimensions, especially for fragile or structured items.

Measure the final outer carton, including retained boxes and padding. The sum of product weights or one item’s dimensions cannot establish the packed charge. Compare keeping and removing boxes using the actual packing quotes.

The Fishgoo US sea haul: $86.80 and 52-day carrier transit records 6.65 kg actual weight and about 9 kg volumetric weight. Its payment is historical and the carrier billing formula is unconfirmed.

Compare packing choices without sacrificing necessary protection

Removing duplicate courier packaging can reduce volume, but original packaging may matter for fragile goods, structured bags or collectible items. For sneakers, compare keeping the shoe box with removing it. Keep a note of whether you value the box for protection or presentation before authorising disposal.

Consolidating several items can also change the charging band. Compare one combined parcel with separate eligible parcels using the full totals, including any additional packing and destination costs. A smaller freight quote by itself does not establish a lower delivered budget. For the steps inside My Warehouse, use the Fishgoo storage and consolidation guide.

Compare cost, eligibility and service together

Route comparison checklist
CheckQuestion to answer
ContentsDoes the route accept every selected item and special material?
DestinationIs my full postcode served, and are remote-area charges possible?
ChargingWhat weight basis, minimum and rounding rules apply?
TimingWhich stage does the estimate cover, and are days business days?
TrackingWhich carrier and local delivery service handle the parcel?
Included chargesWhat is prepaid and what could be collected later?
CoverageWhat losses are covered, excluded or subject to a claim deadline?

The cheapest available route is only useful if it accepts the parcel and meets your requirements. Avoid choosing on a promotional route name alone. Keep the exact service wording that explains charge inclusions and transit estimates. When batteries, liquids or unusual contents are involved, confirm eligibility through the restricted item checklist.

Resolve changes between an estimate and the payable quote

If the shipping amount changes, compare the underlying inputs first: selected items, carton dimensions, scale weight, chargeable weight, postcode, route and optional services. Ask which line changed. That creates a clear explanation instead of assuming the earlier estimate promised a fixed price.

Read the current payment screen for any estimate adjustment or settlement process. Save both the estimate and the final invoice so you can reconcile a charge or credit later. Do not assume a difference will automatically be returned through a particular payment method unless the transaction terms say so.

Make one final check before international dispatch

Resolve QC questions, verify the recipient and complete address, approve packing instructions and check the full payable amount. Use accurate descriptions and values for the selected items. Keep a copy of the parcel record, route conditions and payment confirmation.

Follow current logistics conditions when evaluating timing or compensation. The international transit estimate does not include every earlier seller and warehouse stage. Use the USA shipping guide or UK shipping guide to plan the final destination checks.

Common questions

How much does Fishgoo shipping cost per kilogram?

There is no single rate that covers all parcels. The route, destination, contents, dimensions, charging bands and current quote determine the applicable cost.

Why is my parcel charged above its scale weight?

A route can use dimensional weight or round the chargeable weight. Compare the packed measurements with the route calculation.

Is removing shoe boxes always cheaper overall?

It can reduce volume, but the actual saving depends on the quote and needed protection. Compare the packed options before deciding.

Does a shipping estimate include the item purchase?

Treat item purchase, domestic delivery, international freight and other costs as separate lines unless the breakdown explicitly combines them.
